Collapsing sick
I think I collapsed for the first time from sickness. After waking up and feeling an urgent need to go to the toilet, I felt faint and like I was going to throw up, which has happened before, but when I tried to get up I collapsed at the door, which had never happened before. The previous times I felt like this I had at least the strength to get to a bed or something to lie down on, but this time all strength left me and I fell down on the floor. At least I didn’t injure myself.
The doctor said it was probably the stomach flu. I don’t know where I got it from, but it sucks being dizzy and weak. He got me onto a glucose IV drip (this could be only the second time in my life I’ve been on an IV drip), which I’m not sure really helped, but after a day’s rest in bed I feel all better now. Only the sore throat I had from before from a cold is left.
The moral is: being sick sucks …
